Jasmine + Justin // Malibu, CA Engagement Session

Capturing Jasmine & Justin’s engagement shoot in the hills of Malibu just makes me swoon. Loved adventuring through the fields and hills watching their hearts grow warm with love for one another.  The icing on the cake was Justin’s tattoo which has been the mantra for my business since the beginning. “Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly”..Micah 6:8. So excited for these two to tie the knot next March!

Hillary and Steven | Orange County, CA Native Inspired Engagement Session

Yes it’s true. Love is sweet. In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been on a tribal rant recently and I’m beyond excited to share this Native inspired engagement session with you on the blog today. Not too long ago I got together with the lovely Britty of B Street Photo to shoot this lovely engagement session for her in the chaparral coastlands of Newport. There were so many things that were dreamy and outrageous about this day. The session was made complete with a teepee which was – yes – handmade by Britty, firefly lanterns, totally-in-love Hillary and Steven, and just about the cutest invitations to match. The day could not have been more sweet.

Alyson and Jason | An Eco-Chic Inspired Engagement

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Hands down, I have the best kind of friends…who love deeply, love sacrificially and are always up for a really good time. I think I had as much fun shooting this as they had being in it. When Alyson and Jason got engaged, I couldn’t have been happier. They are hot in love, fit to a T plus they are ridiculously cute together if you haven’t been able to tell already. The shoot was inspired by pastel florals and eco-friendly elements…a wood crate table, cork letters, driftwood, and bamboo. A huge thank you goes out to Tiffany Tram for her talented florals! And of course, thank you so much Britty for your beautiful support and assistance with this shoot! I would not have been able to make this shoot happen, had it not been for the support and encouragement from someone like you.

Thanks to Glamour & Grace blog for featuring this on 6/28!

Caitlin + Dan | Santa Monica, CA Engagement

My sister-in-law is getting married to an amazing man in May. I’m really happy for them and super excited that their upscale wedding is slated for this upcoming May 2013 at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills.

When I was asked to do their engagement session, I was incredibly honored because getting to capture photographs of family is such a special thing, let alone engagement photos. I love a couple things about this shoot: I love that their love ran free. I love the extra touch her live bouquet brought to the shoot. And I LOVE her dress on her.

The Salt Air Club, otherwise known as the Dirty Thirties (aka Wedding venue of yours truly!) is not just any other club. Its heritage and historical ties to Caitlin’s side of the family run deep considering the fact that they have enjoyed a long relationship with the club for four generations now.  The day couldn’t have been more perfect – bright skies and puffy white clouds down by the beach in Santa Monica made this session absolutely perfect.

Caitlin & Dan – I’m beyond excited for you two to tie the knot next May!

Venue: Salt Air Club  // Flowers: Handmade variety by Engloan Ming Snow (A thousand thanks) // Chalkboards: Erica Valencia – Thank you!

Eric & Katrina | Rowland Heights Engagement

I will have to confess that this session, by far, has got to be one of my favorite engagement sessions to date. Tucked into the ends of Rowland Heights, these cow fields were a dream to photograph with its wide expanses and knee high waving grass…It’s a like a long lost friend I have been looking near and far for and it was just the perfect field for Katrina and Eric’s intimate engagement session.

Katrina and Eric are a down to earth couple who love baseball (diehard Dodgers fans) and having a good laugh. Eric is probably one of the most patient guys I will ever have the opportunity to photograph and Katrina has the best comeback lines ever, plus whatever she touches turns to golden laughter. While having the honor of working with Katrina over the last year, Katrina has genuinely made my job funner, easier and more laughable having her by my side. I love that they chose to bring their puppy, Baby Girl as their living prop : ) Together Katrina and Eric make the cutest couple ever. I am so very excited to capture your big day in just a few weeks K&E! A huge shoutout to my second shooter, Elim Pan for awesome assistance in this shoot and wonderful eye!!!!

Nice shot here from Elim! It’s a keeper.

Check back next week to see a beautiful La Jolla Wedding!

Or, leave me lots of love below :)
