Girls + Barbies and Little Clothes Too | Westlake Village

As a lot of our friends know, Robbie and I dream of going back to Nepal one day to live there not for a short amount of time…it’s a dream waiting to happen. Last month, Robbie’s Nepalese host family came over for BBQ to Robbie’s parents’ place in Westlake Village. With Nancy being the mother that she is, she managed to have a “Barbie Party” with the Barbies on loan from the neighbor’s 7-year-old daughter for the night.  The girls were totally ecstatic about this and couldn’t take their eyes off of them, including 4-year-old Juju. Let me just say the idea was a hit. I love that there were Barbie clothes everywhere by the end of the night.

Sonia and Sophia don’t do a whole lot of talking on their own unless you actually keep drawing a conversation out of them…but the Barbies definitely made them talk.  And Juju was another story. Seeing the girls play with the dolls brought back a lot of memories from my old days of imagination living in a play-world. It was strangely beautiful seeing these doll-like girls, playing with American dolls, sitting there in an admiring state. I love kids…and I’m excited for some of my own.

When I told them I was going to take their picture, this was their natural pose – they stood up real straight with their hands behind their backs.

I have a few fun photo shoots lined up for this month! Stayed tuned for what’s in store.
