Ray + Kleyni // Claremont, CA Women’s Club Wedding

Ray and Kleyni were wedded on the very first Saturday of the year at the historic Claremont Women’s Club. Their day was all about love and family and their love was contagious. I was so honored to get to contribute to their stunning story. Thank you Ray and Kleyni for having me along! Thank you Michelle for your incredible support that day.

Jaime + Alvin // Southern California, CA Wedding

Jaime and Alvin’s wedding was probably one of the swankiest weddings I’ve gotten to help shoot. Located at a ritzy private mansion in southern California, the entire event was a feast for the eyes and even more of a delight to capture.  There was so much to love about this wedding from the bride & groom’s personalities to the venue’s sweeping architectural design, to the botanical details and more.  Many thanks to the amazingly talented photographer, Michelle Chiu for having me along! Head on over to check out her work – she’s amazing.

Woodland Winter Bridal Shoot

Many thanks to Pacific Weddings for featuring this shoot on their blog!

I don’t do too many of these styled shoots, but this one was probably one of my favorites, shot a few weeks ago out in Brea, CA. I just loved the limitlessness and freedom of this shoot including the joy I felt that day. I loved shooting the gorgeous Chauntelle Hall on this 30-acre property filled with Monterey Pines and the sun setting sweetly behind us. Lately, I’ve been challenging myself to explore what it looks like to redefine beauty in a world where we’re told what it looks like.  This shoot was such a simple reminder to us that true beauty is found in simplicity in that our theme was to convey simplicity in dress, hair and in details. I was so grateful for the chance to freely dream up a shoot from concept to completion together with some of my favorite LA vendors. What a sweet memory to kick off 2015!

Mini Sessions in June

It’s been a long 9 months since we’ve left the states for the far away land of Nepal for a few personal projects of ours. It’s been wild, it’s been great, but mostly good and absolutely worth it. In fact, I would never trade the experience for a thing. I went to Nepal to get into new branches of work I haven’t gone into before without any promise of what would happen when I returned. Well, I’m returning in 4 days on June 1st to continue wedding and portrait photography in the states with a new perspective to continue my journey in art.

To celebrate, we’ll be going up and down the California Coast (yes…driving!) to see old friends and clients we’ve missed for the past year, revisit sights and sounds we’ve missed the past 9 months, and I’ll be taking pictures along the way. Plus, it’s a really good excuse for us to see everyone again :-)

Here’s our June 2014 itinerary where I’m currently booking 30 minute mini-photo sessions:

June 5: Berkeley, CA
June 7-8: Bernal Heights, San Francisco
June 10: Lema Ranch, Redding, CA
June 13: Las Vegas, NV
June 14: Malibu Hills, Los Angeles
June 21: Quail Hill, Irvine

What is a mini session? A 30 minute photo session designed for couples, singles or families where I photograph you and you get to be you. Photos are delivered 2-3 weeks later on a disc at which time print orders can also be made.

DETAILS: Each 30 minute mini session is $150.00. If booking for >5 people, each additional person is $20. A non-refundable payment in full is due to retain your space. Should it rain, boo! We’ll be sure to schedule a make-up date.

Space is limited so e-mail me at to grab your spot today! Hope to see you there.
