Mini Sessions in June

Hi guys! It’s been a long 7 months since we’ve left the states for the far away land of Nepal for a few personal projects of ours. It’s been good, it’s been hard, but mostly good and absolutely worth it. In fact, I would never trade the experience for a thing. I went to Nepal to get into new branches of work I haven’t gone into before without any promise of what would happen when I returned. Well, I’m returning in 2 months this June and hopefully, I won’t fall flat on my face.

This June I’ll be back with a boom to hit off the 2014 wedding season.

To celebrate, we’ll be doing a West Coast Mini tour where I’ll be throwing 30 minute mini-sessions up and down the California coast to see old friends and clients we’ve missed for the past year, and to visit the sights and sounds we’ve missed so much since we’ve been gone. We’ll be hitting up Irvine, Los Angeles and San Francisco for couples, singles and families. Plus, it’ll be a fun way to see you again!

What is a mini session? It’s a 30 minute photo session designed for couples, singles or families to get an update on your photos.

Here is the June 2014 West Coast Tour Itinerary:

June 7:  Bernal Heights, San Francisco, Time: 5:30-8:30PM

June 14 Malibu Hills, Los Angeles, Time: 5:00-8:00PM

June 21 Quail Hill, Irvine, Time: 5:00-8:00PM

DETAILS: Each 30 minute mini session is $150.00- extra person charge after 5 people is $20.00 per person. A non-refundable payment in full is due to retain your space. Should it rain, boo! The rain out date will be scheduled.

Come join us in celebrating this joyous occasion! So who’s in?!? Spread the word everyone!

Christina + Timothy // Anniversary in Ramailo Gau, Nepal

When a pair is rich in love, they celebrate their anniversaries early…in batches of 100 days or less. Early last month we took a few snaps for Timothy and Christina to celebrate 100 days of wedded bliss at Timothy’s favorite lovebird lookout in Ramailo Gau in Kathmandu, ice cream then the rooftop of their home. Here lie my favorites of my very first captures of Nepalese love here in Nepal.

Esther + Phil // South Pasadena, CA Engagement

Phil and Esther know how to love deeply, think meaningfully and laugh much. They are the key to each others lock and the apple to each other’s pie. You can’t help but notice their genuine interest for others, their passion for change, the thought provoking questions they ask and the love they show for others. To see them together was a no-brainer.

The minute Esther smiles she lights up a room, her laugh cracks the stoniest of hearts, and Phil jokes like there’s no tomorrow. When you are with Esther and Phil, they make you feel like the most amazing person in the world. Honestly, the kind of friends who add value to those around them.

Phil proposed to Esther one beautiful evening in July, a week after she returned from an incredible two month trip to Uganda. After taking her through a scavenger hunt featuring some of the most meaningful people and places in their lives, he finally dropped the question.

Esther and Phil are two very beautiful people about to be joined in marriage this December…I am beyond excited for you two. Thank you for having me along to capture your beautiful love for each other!

Ann + Justin | Pasadena, CA Engagement

Robbie and I go way back with Justin to college revival days, spontaneous midnight prayer sets and a movement filled with fervor. To sit here 7 years later taking photographs of him and Ann is totally unbelievable.

Meaningful, yet true, Ann and Justin’s engagement was full of subtle surprises as I witnessed their love out loud.  Set at the school they met at and featuring his father’s recently restored TR3 Triumph, an assortment of global inspired travel items, and more…several symbolic details meaningful to their relationship were carefully woven in to tell of where they’d been, where they are now, and where they’ll go.

Looking back now, I realize I was able to capture a different side of these two. I believe great photography should reveal the beauty of each moment, bringing forth something that is fresh and focused yet laced with subtle surprises that capture the passion and joy of the journey. This is what I aim for in every session. So excited to capture Ann & Justin’s wedding this June! And now, a few of my favorites curated below.

Amy + Daniel | Pasadena, CA Engagement

Amy and I go way back to the days our mothers bathed us in the same bathtub. Yes, you heard right. Don’t worry, it wasn’t just yesterday and yes, we were less than 5. There aren’t many friends I can count on my fingers that I actually can say that I grew up with. Which is so invigorating. Well, last weekend Amy + Daniel tied the knot and I wasn’t without a few tears rolling down my cheek as I watched my childhood friend walk down the aisle. I am proud of this girl for following her heart and marrying the man of her dreams. I had so much joy in capturing these. Capturing the love of old friends is so rich. I hope you’ll enjoy! A big thank you goes out to Johnny for coming alongside me for this shoot and for lending me your support and perspective!
